A 20+ steampunk RP group with a goal in mind--kill the tyrannical queen that rules the city and unleash all the inventions you can think of.

Ironhaven is a 20+ steampunk inspired server where characters can carry out their daily lives being nerds and deal with the tyrant queen hanging over everyone's heads. The goal of it is to have fun and last as long as it needs to for that! But there are some simple rules to keep in mind, duh.- The use of AI is prohibited, both for writing and art. Art will pop up with semi-importance, but there is almost always an alternative of having art done by someone else with proper credit and permission. You don't have to be an artist to join!
- Be mindful, be respectful, no god-modding.
- This is a semi-literate server, so quick one liners will not be enough to get by! The writing is more important than the art here.
- Respect the mods, and don't argue when a decision has been made by them. Mods are here to keep the server both safe and fun for evreryone.Further rules will be listed in the discord, and will be subject to change if needed or concerns are raised.

Ironhaven is a steampunk-inspired city state on the brink of technological revolution. Deep in the mines, a strange stone called anima was discovered, and with it, inventors found they could power their machines to new heights. More efficient factory lines, trains, even robots that seem almost human. All sorts of hopeful folk live in the four districts of the city-state, either clawing their way out of poverty with state of the art inventions, or using their wealth to buy out brand new creations. They may be united by the discovery of anima, but the people of Ironhaven couldn't be more far apart. To the south lays the Seaglass District, a district of poverty, crime and pollution. Here, just about everyone works in a factory and barely scrapes by. The more generous and safer Scholar's District sits right above it, where those with a little money can attend the university or use the labs to discover new inventions. Just a train ride away to the west lays the Rosehill District, where serenity, clean air and peaceful meadows hold the majority of Ironhaven's farms. And at the top of it all? The Noble District, where hedonism and money dominate all parts of life.Sitting pretty on top of the powder keg of the city is the Queen, Eris, who rules with an iron fist. There's no help for those who have nothing, and those who do have money to their name better sleep soundly knowing that at the end of the day, it's all hers. Whether the people of Ironhaven abide her rule any longer is up to you...

In Ironhaven, there are four different races your character can be! Descriptions for them are below, but there are a few things to keep in mind.First, all characters must be born and raised in Ironhaven. This is subject to change at a future date, but for now, Ironhaven is in their blood no matter what. There will be no exceptions currently. They can be of noble birth, but no one is directly related to the royal family except for mod characters.Second, any character that is half-human, half-chimera/druid will always appear and function 100% as a human. There are no carry over traits from their chimeric/druidic parent. Chimera and druids cannot have children with each other.•●•●⚙︎●•●•🧎Humans🧎
As the most common citizens of Ironhaven, humans make up all parts of society, from the upper echelons of nobility to the most humble farmers. Please keep hair and eye color natural--hair dye exists and can be used, but no one should be born with pink or purple hair!🐺 Chimera 🐺
Half human, half animal in appearance, chimera are only slightly less common to see around than humans. It’s said that they are the only people to have remnants of magic--even if that magic solely allows them to transform into the animal they share traits with. Other than their heightened animal senses and ability to transform, they also stand out for having greater strength compared to any other race. They have lived in Ironhaven as long as humans have, but are more uncommon to see with noble titles and stations. They can have as little or as many animal traits as you want, but note that they can only be mammalian/avian/amphibian in nature. There are no reptilian/aquatic chimera. They cannot be a mix of animals, so make sure you pick one!🥀 Druids 🥀
Rare and ethereal, druids are people who are more plant than humanoid, as if they grew straight from the earth itself. Though they are slightly longer lived than chimera and humans, they are also far more uncommon to see and mostly live in the countryside district of Rosehill. The fumes of the factories make them more sick than others, and often they are not permitted to work there.A small portion of druids don't appear plant-like, however. They instead seem to resemble insects more, with carapace and wings. Note that they are a little rarer than their plant counterparts, but both are still druids.⚙️ Automa ⚙️
Automa - Thirty years ago, the discovery of a stone named anima gave Ironhaven’s inventors new mastery over their machinery. It powered them more than any other fuel, and lasted longer. From this came the automa--machines with anima cores who seem to replicate humans in appearance and behavior. Though inventors are largely discouraged from creating these, it hasn’t stopped them from cropping up, and some even live autonomously in the city, away from their creators. Automa stand out easily from everyone else with their exposed cogs and metal, and are rarely considered people enough to get jobs or own homes.

Inventions are the central mechanic of Ironhaven--in this group, you can collect items every day in designated channels through the use of rodbot, and use these items to make inventions. These inventions will have an impact on plot and events, so get creative! There is also a chance to uncover hidden secrets of Ironhaven as you collect these items, but most importantly, it's there so that you can write about your characters day to day! How they feel, what they're doing, all of it can be outlined here every day.Mechanics are subject to change as the group expands! More could be added, as long as it all caters to a fun experience for the members. Suggestions from members are always welcome!
